CASA DA CABRELA
An old solid stone house in ruins was totally recovered, preserving a good part of the original structure. The new steel-framed house, built within the stone structure, has two storeys. Construction was completed by the end of 2008. The project was distinguished by the architectural magazine Dezeen. The ground floor is composed by a living room with fireplace, a work studio, a fully equiped kitchen and bathroom. A wall of glass in the living room overlooks a courtyard that is part of the original stone structure. In the upper floor thare are two rooms and a bathroom. Outside there is a patio with barbecue. The house has central heating and securitas alarm. It is located on a high point, overlooking a valley and creek integrated in an ecologocal reserve.
