QUINTA DO BARREIRO NO ALTO DOURO

The manor and graceful Quinta do Barreiro, also known as Casa dos Fragosos, is a historic property, an icon of the village of Mesão Frio, where the original 18th century design was respected.
Considered one of the most beautiful manors in the municipality, and according to historical records, this house in late Baroque style, was linked by second marriages to Solar da Rede, through the marriage of Dona Maria Carolina Fragoso, legitimate owner, with Manuel Xavier de Cerqueira from Alpoim.
Of the numerous emblazoned houses in the municipality of Mesão Frio, Casa dos Fragosos is one of the well-preserved buildings. The Quinta consists of a 6 bedrooms house with wine cellar, land with vineyards and fruit trees and a desired view of the Douro River and mountains.
