Solar dos Condes de Alpendurada

The Solar dos Condes de Alpendurada is, quite possibly, the largest and most magnificent private residence in Lamego. Built in the late 18th century, it was once owned by the 2nd Count of Alpendurada, a distinguished figure, owner of vast vineyards and Mayor of Lamego. This remarkable manor house opens its doors to the timeless beauty of the Alto Douro Wine Region. Its stately façade, crowned by an immaculate stone coat of arms, reflects centuries of careful preservation. It is one of the region’s last great noble residences to have retained its original character and architectural integrity. Offering an impressive 1,848 sqm of built area, the interiors are an invitation to the imagination. The natural light of the Douro floods the soaring ceilings and enhances the remarkable sense of space throughout its 29 character-filled rooms.
